Katrina Victim Needs Help in 2013

KATHERINE CONNER, currently residing in East Feliciana Parish, State of Louisiana, has applied for clemency for her conviction of Felony Theft. If you have any comments or wish to communicate with the Board of Pardons on her behalf, please call (225)342-5421. She is a Katrina victim who had a disagreement with an unlicensed contractor over her home repairs. When the contractor charged her $3,500 more than the contract, Katherine wrote a check and then cancelled it when she discovered the amount was more than the amount due, because the contractor refused to void the check accept payment in the correct amount. 

One thing led to another, and Katherine was accused of "theft of services." This gave rise to Katherine's one and only problem with the law in 52 years. She was ordered to pay $385.00 per month in probation and restitution fees out of her income of less than $600.00 per month, or face three years of hard labor. Katherine is presently being considered for pardon. Your phone call and prayers may make a difference. Many Katrina victims were unfairly victimized by unscrupulous contractors, and some contractors were prosecuted. It didn't work out that way in Katherine's case. For her, the storm never ended. Petitions to Our Father

Christians must pray together for justice and compassion. We are bombarded with petitions to sign for officials to render justice, but we must first petition Heaven for whatever we need. For we remember that it is God who promised to cause men to give unto our bosoms. "I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign LORD" (Ez. 34:15). This blog is a place to read about and pray for one another regarding justice issues.

Like most human and civil rights activists, I have spent years speaking truth to power and admonishing our decision makers to be just and to honor the Golden Rule. Some improvements have been made in some areas, but I am reminded that the Bible says that we have not because we ask not or because we ask amiss. We must make our prayers and supplications to God.

I have many online friends who are atheists, agnostics, and who serve other gods. We can and do fight injustice together, but we cannot pray together. Just send good vibes.

This activist will soon leave online advocacy. I leave this with you:

"If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land." ~2 Chronicles 7:14

It is our distinct honor and privilege to invite you on behalf of the Black Autonomy Network Community Organization (BANCO) to our Justice Fund Dinner on October 5, 2013, in Benton Harbor, Michigan. This event is scheduled to take place at Lake Michigan College 2755 E. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor, Michigan 49022.

Our special guest speaker will be actor and activist Danny Glover. We will also be honoring the Black Farmers of America with Rev Al Sampson.

Our community continues to face many challenges. The City of Benton Harbor has an Emergency Manager we call a dictator. The citizens of Benton Harbor and the State of Michigan voted to repeal the controversial State Emergency Manager's hostile takeover law, which attributes this position absolute power.

Benton Harbor is a city which Whirlpool Corporation is gentrifying and attempting to drive all the African Americans out of the city. This city is 93% African American. Roughly 70% of the residents are unemployed, and 90% live below the poverty level.

Rev. Pinkney is a court watcher. He usually attends court daily to observe disparity in treatment among Benton Harbor's citizens. BANCO has gotten criminal cases dismissed within the last two years against innocent defendants, including two murders and several armed and unarmed robberies.

The Justice Fund Dinner is a fundraising event to continue helping people across the country. We are making a request to every person who believes in justice to come and support the City of Benton Harbor and BANCO. If for some reason you cannot attend, please give a donation. Many things are upside down in the United States, but this advocate for human and civil rights hopes we can work together peacefully to correct them. Such a symbol as the upside down bald eagle on the White House Twitter page, especially not knowing what it means, is completely disconcerting.

I saw it for myself. I hoped it was an oversight, but that does not appear to be the case, since I contacted the administration and spoke about it. Also, nearly 15,000 people have viewed the video embedded above. Please pray for America that God will bless her with liberty and justice for all. God's blessings are conditional:

Former Officers v. NAACP re Racketeering

A coalition of concerned former members and officers of the NAACP, including twenty-two former branch presidents, are filing a lawsuit against the NAACP. We are charging the organization with racketeering under the R.I.C.O. ACT. PLEASE JOIN US. The real crime is the NAACP's false claims, outrageous policies and destructive actions [toward the very people it supposedly represents].

Do you really believe that the NAACP is a non-partisan organization? Most people with an I.Q. above 100 know that the National Association for the Advancement of "Some" Colored People is an arm of the Democratic Party. The only people who are blinded to the facts are people who are confused enough to still support the NAACP.

The NAACP is considered a nonprofit organization only because they are called a nonprofit. The NAACP gets to enjoy the benefits of being tax-exempt, but there is an IRS provision that nonprofits must follow. A tax exempt organization must be non-political. That mean that nonprofit organizations cannot align themselves with a political party. They must be neutral. It looks like the NAACP has tipped its hand and exposed itself as being a partisan organization.

Aiyana Jones Murder Anniversary

Statement from the Justice for Aiyana Jones Committee (JAJC) on the 3-year anniversary of the death of Aiyana Jones:

In a sea of calamity, mayhem and murder, today we focus on the untimely death of Aiyana Jones who, on May 16, 2010, was killed by Detroit Police Officer Joe Weekley. He was under the administration of then Detroit Police Chief Warren Evans and Detroit Mayor Dave Bing. While being filmed by A & E’s Next 48 Hours, Weekley negligently committed manslaughter, as charged by the state, as Aiyana slept with her grandmother on a couch.

Born to Dominka and Charles Jones, Aiyana should have never died so soon or this way. The Detroit Police Department with its vast array of resources that extend all the up to the Pentagon failed to protect her as they supposedly were in pursuit of a criminal suspect; this suspect, it was said, could have been apprehended earlier that day if it were not for the fact that the then celebrity drunk, reality show wannabe, Detroit Police Chief Warren Evans, wanted a Hollywood ending to this pursuit complete with a flash grenade, video cameras, lights, and the element of surprise as his troops (presumably 30 of them) stormed Aiyana’s poverty-stricken neighborhood and home in the middle of the night and killed her.

JAJC Chairman, Roland Lawrence aka Fige Bornu says, “Sadly, there are far too many tragedies that snatch the vulnerable hearts, souls and spirits of our young people today. In fact, no matter the demographic, we all are under siege in this society which seems to glorify violence, and ignore the innocence of our essence.”

In this regard, the Justice for Aiyana Jones Committee hereby demand that children from ages 5-17 years old be given extensive and accurate courses and information on how this world has gotten to where it is today including the abject brutal invasion and colonization of Africa, and the periods after that. JAJC acknowledges that such a historical digest will give descendants of Africa the chance to embrace their identity, thus, change their outlook on themselves, the world, and their future in a vastly productive and wholesome way. In addition, JAJC demand that all levels of government, and the business and corporate entities worldwide provide reparations in the form of massive financial resources, access to free healthcare, real-time education, and a litany of opportunities so that African-Americans can initiate, create, and actualize an existence that they feel is worthy of their soul’s purpose and fulfillment.

Lawrence says, “Aiyana’s untimely death by the hands of the state will forever be memorialized as a brute, unrelenting, and bastardly expression of the continued disregard of respect, dignity and longevity for America and the world’s most precious amongst us: Our Black Youth.”

MALCOLM SHABAZZ MURDERED ON JOHN BROWN's BIRTHDAY, by Mary Neal

By an uncanny coincidence, or careful planning, Malcolm Shabazz, grandson of Malcolm X, was murdered on legendary abolitionist John Brown's birthday. Wikipedia reports "John Brown (May 9, 1800 – December 2, 1859) was an American abolitionist who believed armed insurrection was the only way to overthrow the institution of slavery in the United States. During 1856 in Kansas, Brown commanded forces at the Battle of Black Jack and the Battle of Osawatomie. Brown's followers also killed five pro-slavery supporters at Pottawatomie. In 1859, Brown led an unsuccessful raid on the federal armory at Harpers Ferry that ended with his capture. Brown's trial resulted in his conviction and a sentence of death by hanging." Both men believed in "freedom by any means necessary," including armed conflict.

On July 17, 1964, Malcolm X was welcomed to the second meeting of the Organization of African Unity in Cairo as a representative of the OAAU. When a reporter asked whether white people could join the OAAU, Malcolm X said, "Definitely not." Then he added, "If John Brown were still alive, we might accept him."

Numbers are important. A book in the Bible is even named "Numbers." Many people wonder who the concentration camps under NDAA will warehouse. I checked the date that correlated with the Senate Bill 1867, and found that year has a rich history regarding governments and movements by the People.

S.1867 was the Nazi bill that President Obama should have vetoed. It was introduced by Sen. Levin (D-MI). Ironically, he is a Jew. It allows for indefinite military detention of Americans without criminal charges or trial. The year 1867 has a rich history. Interestingly, on January 8, 1867, a law was passed allowing black men to vote for the first time in America. It applied only to the District of Columbia. 

In 1867, the first volume of "Das Kapital" was published by Karl Marx: Power to government, not the People. Is that why Senate gave S.1867 that number? Revelation says that in the Last Days, plagues will be released on the world. Ironically, 1867 was the year that yellow fever killed 3,093 in New Orleans. 

Government often reneges on its promises like those in our Constitution. For instance, on October 21, 1867, Manifest Destiny, a landmark treaty, was signed requiring that Native American Plains tribes relocate to a reservation in western Oklahoma. The Army supervised the relocation like the resettlement relocation specialists the Army is recruiting today. I knew S.1867 would pass ahead of time because the ad for concentration camp personnel was published ahead of Senate's vote. Military relocation is what happened to People who said, "Welcome. Here's how to plant corn and survive." It seems to be planned for people who said, "Here's my tax money, my sons and daughters. Use them to keep us "free." 

In 1867, the railroads in America experienced unprecedented growth. Between 1867 and 1873, Chinese, Scandinavian and Irish immigrants lay 30,000 miles (48,000 km) of railroad tracks here. Biomass incinerators are being erected near railroads in the USA lately, despite ecology concerns - to burn waste. 

In Mexico, Prince Maximilian was executed by firing squad on June 19, 1867, although he was a popular leader. Wikipedia reports, "To the dismay of his conservative allies, Maximilian upheld several liberal policies proposed by the Juárez administration – such as land reforms, religious freedom, and extending the right to vote beyond the landholding class ... Many foreign governments, including the United States, refused to recognize his administration." 

It is sad that liberty and justice for the 99% are still perceived as encumbrances by some decision makers in government. The year 1867 was eventful. March 9 is a significant date regarding freedom for all, also. If ever there was a young man whose heart burned for freedom for his people, it was Malcolm.
