Bible Belt Resists Gay Marriages; Embraces DP

The U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in all 50 states on June 26, 2015, engendering outrage, particularly in the Bible Belt. The White House celebrated with a rainbow light display, but Mississippi threatens to end marriages altogether rather than to allow gay marriages in that state. Two archived radio shows by MaryLovesJustice expose the hypocrisy of so-called Christians who oppose gay marriages but not fornication, adultery, mass incarceration, lynchings, and executions. June 26 was already a historical day for Christians and human rights.
a)  June 26, 1870 ~ Christmas was declared a national holiday in the USA and is the most sacred holiday for Christians.
b)  June 26, 1945 - The Charter of the +United Nations was signed at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center by 50 original member countries. Poland, the other original member, which was not represented at the conference but signed it two months later.
c) June 26, 1967 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. went to Chicago, and only Friendship Baptist Church on Chicago's Westside allowed him to speak about civil rights. Rev Shelvin J. Hall showed no fear, but other churches called Dr. King "too radical." (This message was published by the Congressional Black Caucus as its "Today in Black History" post.)

Dr. King was assassinated within a year of his Chicago speech, presumably because he began to criticize the Vietnam War and demand economic justice for disenfranchised Americans. The United Nations, which was formed after the "War to End All Wars," has been unsuccessful in obtaining world peace; there are more wars and rumors of wars now than ever before and enough weaponry to destroy all life. The Christmas holiday, which was established to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, has been commercialized, and the Bethlehem manger scene is now illegal on government property. One might say that the day chosen to make gay marriages legal in the United States is ultimately unlucky for religion and human rights.

Ironically, the states where gay marriages met the most zealous religious opposition are states where people are executed most often in violation of God's will as put forward in Psalm 102:19-20, Hebrews 13:3, and Matthew 25:31-46. Oklahoma is best known among anti-DP activists for its torturous execution on April 29, 2014 of Clayton Lockett, 38, who died a slow, horrible death after being injected with mystery drugs.

If only the #BibleBelt states were as adamant about obeying the commandment "Thou Shalt NOT Kill" as they are about resisting gay marriages, we could decrease military conflicts and end #executions and lynchings by police officers and others.

The Dream: MLK's 50th Anniversary

During the week of August 27, hundreds of thousands of Americans will gather in Washington, D.C. to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s speech, "I Have a Dream." People throughout the nation will reflect on the march on Washington in August 1963, applauding the bravery and fortitude of those who fought together and seriously wounded Jim Crow. "I Have a Dream" is a public speech delivered by Rev. King on August 28, 1963, in which he called for an end to racism in the United States. Delivered to over 250,000 civil rights supporters from the steps of the Lincoln Memorial during the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom, the speech was a defining moment of the American Civil Rights Movement (Wikipedia).

Jim Crow made a  remarkable recovery and is today alive and well in America's prison system. There are currently 2.5 million people incarcerated throughout this country, and blacks are disproportionately represented among prison slaves. This prison endemic is ruining individual lives and devastating the community. Taxpayers pay over $70 billion per year to warehouse more prisoners than any other country that has ever existed, and prison owners and investors compete for job contracts against companies that hire "free people." Even former union jobs have disappeared behind bars. The huge prison industry hurts working class Americans regardless of whether they actually know someone behind bars. 

On Monday, August 12, Attorney General Eric Holder plans to address mass incarceration, which some believe is among America's major human rights and economic issues. One of the key points, according to an article by ACLU, regards reforming marijuana laws. See a brief excerpt below:

MARIJUANA LAW REFORM
As we observed earlier this year, this is one of the strongest trends in criminal justice reform. The public, policy makers, and opinion makers are growing increasingly averse to senselessly punitive enforcement of marijuana laws. CNN's Dr. Sanjay Gupta's recent reversal of his previously hostile stance against marijuana is the most recent high-profile about-face in this arena. State lawmakers are taking cues: marijuana reform bills were introduced in 30 states this session.

Of course, harsh sentences for marijuana use is only one of the causes of mass incarceration. What Changes would YOU like to see in the prison system - the modern Jim Crow?
a.  An end to solitary confinement?

b.  Decriminalize mental illness by
     (i) funding inpatient hospitalization insurance for acute mental patients and
     (ii) using assisted outpatient treatment (AOT) programs, certified by the Justice Department in 2012?

c.  Increased reliance on drug courts and mental health courts?

d.  More prison diversion programs, especially for veterans?

e.  Reduction in the number of children being tried and sentenced as adults?

f.  Prison release or reduced sentences for inmates who were sentenced under the now defunct 100 to 1 cocaine, powder to crack laws? (The "Fair" Sentencing Act reset the unequal justice to a new disparity of 18 to 1, but that was not applied retroactively. The Obama administration was reportedly against it.)

g.  An end to mandatory sentencing and three-strikes laws?

h.  Zero tolerance for prisoner abuse?

i.  ALL of the above? I, too, have that dream.

Reducing America's $70 billion per year prison budget and reducing prison investors' slave laborers should interest all Americans, even those who care little about civil and human rights. I am happy to join with you today in what will go down in history as the greatest demonstration for freedom in the history of our nation.

Five score years ago, a great American, in whose symbolic shadow we stand today, signed the Emancipation Proclamation. This momentous decree came as a great beacon of hope to millions of slaves, who had been seared in the flames of withering injustice. It came as a joyous daybreak to end the long night of their captivity. But one hundred years later, the colored America is still not free. One hundred years later, the life of the colored American is still sadly crippled by the manacle of segregation and the chains of discrimination.

One hundred years later, the colored American lives on a lonely island of poverty in the midst of a vast ocean of material prosperity. One hundred years later, the colored American is still languishing in the corners of American society and finds himself an exile in his own land So we have come here today to dramatize a shameful condition.

In a sense we have come to our Nation's Capital to cash a check. When the architects of our great republic wrote the magnificent words of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, they were signing a promissory note to which every American was to fall heir.

This note was a promise that all men, yes, black men as well as white men, would be guaranteed to the inalienable rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

It is obvious today that America has defaulted on this promissory note insofar as her citizens of color are concerned. Instead of honoring this sacred obligation, America has given its colored people a bad check, a check that has come back marked "insufficient funds."

But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. So we have come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and security of justice.

We have also come to his hallowed spot to remind America of the fierce urgency of Now. This is not time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism.

Now is the time to make real the promise of democracy.

Now it the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice.

Now it the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood.

Now is the time to make justice a reality to all of God's children.

It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment and to underestimate the determination of its colored citizens. This sweltering summer of the colored people's legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end but a beginning. Those who hope that the colored Americans needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual.

There will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the colored citizen is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.

We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities.

We cannot be satisfied as long as the colored person's basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one.

We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their selfhood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating "for white only."

We cannot be satisfied as long as a colored person in Mississippi cannot vote and a colored person in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote.

No, we are not satisfied and we will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.

I am not unmindful that some of you have come here out of your trials and tribulations. Some of you have come from areas where your quest for freedom left you battered by storms of persecutions and staggered by the winds of police brutality.

You have been the veterans of creative suffering. Continue to work with the faith that unearned suffering is redemptive.

Go back to Mississippi, go back to Alabama, go back to South Carolina go back to Georgia, go back to Louisiana, go back to the slums and ghettos of our modern cities, knowing that somehow this situation can and will be changed.

Let us not wallow in the valley of despair. I say to you, my friends, we have the difficulties of today and tomorrow.

I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the American dream.

I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed. We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal.

I have a dream that one day out in the red hills of Georgia the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slaveowners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Mississippi, a state sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by their character.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day down in Alabama, with its vicious racists, with its governor having his lips dripping with the words of interpostion and nullification; that one day right down in Alabama little black boys and black girls will be able to join hands with little white boys and white girls as sisters and brothers.

I have a dream today.

I have a dream that one day every valley shall be engulfed, every hill shall be exalted and every mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plains and the crooked places will be made straight and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together.

This is our hope. This is the faith that I will go back to the South with. With this faith we will be able to hew out of the mountain of despair a stone of hope.

With this faith we will be able to transform the jangling discords of our nation into a beautiful symphony of brotherhood.

With this faith we will be able to work together, to pray together, to struggle together, to go to jail together, to climb up for freedom together, knowing that we will be free one day.

This will be the day when all of God's children will be able to sing with new meaning "My country 'tis of thee, sweet land of liberty, of thee I sing. Land where my father's died, land of the Pilgrim's pride, from every mountainside, let freedom ring!"

And if America is to be a great nation, this must become true. So let freedom ring from the hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York.

Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania.

Let freedom ring from the snow-capped Rockies of Colorado.

Let freedom ring from the curvaceous slopes of California.

But not only that, let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia!

Let freedom ring from every hill and molehill of Mississippi and every mountainside.

When we let freedom ring, when we let it ring from every tenement and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old spiritual, "Free at last, free at last. Thank God Almighty, we are free at last."

Report on Our Protest Against the NAACP - April 4, 2013

The anniversary of the murder of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King was celebrated with a protest. Black groups, churches, and community activists from Chicago, Philadelphia, Detroit, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Utah, Colorado, and Pittsburgh came together to protest at the NAACP national headquarters in Baltimore, Maryland. The protest was tremendous, exciting, and very successful. The protest was well covered by the media.

The purpose was to commemorate Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King's death and to demand new NAACP leadership. Rev. Dr. King was murdered by an assassin's bullet and pronounced dead on April 4, 1968, at 7:05 p.m. 

The NAACP, smothered to death with decades of corporate money, was pronounced dead on April 4, 2013.

The national office of the NAACP taped off the front of the building and the street like a crime scene in preparation for our protest. The NAACP is out of touch with the community. This was the very first time the NAACP national office had been marched on by protesters.

The protesters got the community and surrounding workers' attention and then the NAACP called the police to attempt to force protesters to stop picketing. The police told the NAACP we had every right to protest. The NAACP then called the sheriff, who also refused to help the NAACP [by violating protesters' First Amendment rights].

We shut the NAACP's national office down. We made history.  We demanded the resignations of Ben "sell us" Jealous and the Executive Board, and that the NAACP's nonprofit status be revoked.

April 4, 2013 will be remembered forever. The protest was tremendous. FoxNews took a survey to find out whether the NAACP is still relevant, and 100% of the people polled voted NO!

If necessary, every year on April 4 we will protest the NAACP in Baltimore.

WASHINGTON— Black leaders and former members of the National Association of the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) blasted the NAACP on the 45th anniversary of the assassination of Martin Luther King, claiming the organization “no longer stands for civil rights” and “kills black babies.”

NAACP President Ben Jealous refused to respond to reporters about the protest against the civil rights organization (held on the anniversary of MLK's assassination) during which protesters called the organization a sold-out annex of the Democratic Party that is opposed to the interests of African Americans.

(ALTON MADDOX) Now, civil disobedience is off the table nationwide. When Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. accompanied Sharpton to Florida in connection with the fatal and senseless shooting of Trayvon Martin by George Zimmerman, Sharpton announced that civil disobedience and boycotts were off the table. This is double jeopardy. Even though they are effective tools against white supremacy, they are relics, in Sharpton's mind, of Dr. Martin L. King, Jr.

Sharpton grew up admiring the "Mafia". As a result of this contact, he has emulated the "Mafia" by establishing a semblance of it on the plantation under the guise of "non-violent resistance". Since he was a teenager, Sharpton has been operating a "protection racket and escort service" for whites. My source is attorney Louis Clayton Jones. Today, Councilman Charles Barron is one of his chief allies. Recently, Barron has been seen moonlighting. One of Sharpton's clients, wittingly or unwittingly, is the mother of Kimani Gray.

Sharpton and Barron are paving the way for attorney Sanford Rubenstein aka "ambulance chaser". Rubenstein seeks "hush money" for his clients and a "pot of gold" for himself. There is absolutely no legal relief sought for Blacks on the plantation. History continues to repeat itself. "Hush money" is not a deterrent to racial injustice.

In the white community, there is no need for activists to militate against injustices. They are in short supply. White elected officials are not only mouthpieces but they are also effective lawmakers for their constituents. They also write laws to prevent plantation uprisings. If a Jewish youth had been shot in the back by the NYPD, there would have already been indictments and zealous prosecutions. With no political party by its side, Blacks are unable to secure any semblance of justice.

In New York, most white elected officials are fully enrolled in the Democratic Party. On the other hand, Blacks selected officials are nominally enrolled in the Democratic Party. Blacks are like North Korea. Both may have missiles but neither has a delivery system. Moreover, Black "selected officials" provide added legal protection for whites.

It is easier for Blacks to construct a delivery system for a political party than it is for North Korea to construct a delivery system for nuclear warheads. Nonetheless, Blacks refuse to form a political party and construct a delivery system for fear that it would be a "threat" to white supremacy. Blacks live for white "approval" even if it means committing suicide.

I have no confidence that anything will happen after the state-sponsored, unconstitutional assassination of Kimani Gray. If Barron is unable to do the job of pacifying Blacks, whites will call in Sharpton from the bullpen. There must be racial harmony at all costs. In the meantime, Blacks are knocking on the wrong door, talking to the wrong people and asking the wrong questions. This repeated conduct is defined as "insanity".

Where is the Democratic Party on the senseless and state-sponsored fatal shooting of 16-year-old Kimani Gray in the back? There is already prima facie evidence of a homicide. Prima facie evidence of a felony is sufficient to warrant an indictment. No grand jury has been convened. This would be odd for a white victim who was shot by a Black person. Andrew Cuomo, Eric Schneiderman and Joe Hynes, as Democrats, are in the executive branch of government. They have the responsibility of enforcing the laws. "Justice delayed is justice denied."

Using Black Professionals Against the Black Populace

Tuskegee Experiment's Nurse Eunice Rivers delivered useless medication to Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment victims between 1932 and 1972. She pretended to be their health care provider while actually defrauding them for the U.S. Government.



The spirit of the Tuskegee Experiments never ended. Nurse Rivers was appointed to go into the black community and recruit victims for the deadly syphilis study that resulted in many deaths and birth defects in the black community. The president of Tuskegee Institute agreed to use the HBCU school to defraud victims who thought they were getting free medical care. Numerous black health care professionals were parties to the deadly fraud. Today, the NAACP is used against blacks. The Cochran Firm is used against blacks. So are others who the black community looks to as "saviors." Their frauds will continue unless and until traitors are exposed and held accountable.

Rev. Pinkney, former president of the NAACP in Benton Harbor, Michigan, is holding the NAACP accountable to actually 'be what it says on paper" (MLK). Every Sunday when the Rev. Pinkney Show airs on Blogtalk Radio at 5:00 p.m., he pauses after the first half hour for "BURN, BABY, BURN," and NAACP members from coast to coast burn their NAACP cards. Rev. Pinkney was actually ousted from the NAACP for doing precisely what the organization is set up to do: Stand with black people against oppression. So far, over 3,000 people have burned their NAACP membership cards with Rev. Pinkney.

Nurse Rivers was key to the Tuskegee Experiment because she was able to gain the trust of rural black people in Alabama. Racists purchased The Cochran Firm because Johnnie Cochran's name elicits trust in the black community. Most of the clients do not know that all of the attorneys who worked in Johnnie Cochran's Los Angeles office were terminated or forced out of the firm immediately after his death. Mainstream media is party to defrauding black people.

Whether it is a civic organization, human or civil rights organization or group, labor union, church, law firm, or a government official or political party - whatever or whomever does not function as he/she/it should - must be exposed and held accountable. For this reason, Rev. Pinkney is leading a protest march against the NAACP Image Awards in Hollywood, California in February. Many hundreds of people are expected to participate. Gone is the day when black professionals can trick the populace like Nurse Rivers, who facilitated the deaths of many black men and their spouses in Alabama - people who trusted her. Persons who defraud us and harm us must be exposed to limit their ability to continue to attract new victims. Participants in treacherous activities must also be held accountable both financially and in criminal proceedings, if applicable, for frauds against the People.

The system knows that exposing sell-outs like The Cochran Firm and the NAACP will eliminate the opportunity to use them to defraud people to save government agencies and corporations from any need to treat black people with respect. Therefore, mainstream news cannot be relied upon to broadcast the protest at the NAACP Image Awards in February. Use the Internet to help dispense news about the protest. Spread the word that as Rev. Pinkney says often, "WE ARE TAKING THIS TO A WHOLE DIFFERENT LEVEL." Unite, and demand accountability.
