Report & Videos of Anti-Klan Memphis Rally by Black Autonomy Network

Greetings,

Attached is the Memphis Black Autonomy Federation's two-part report about the 
March 30 Anti-Klan protest in downtown Memphis.

The local news media reported that the protesters did not show up. We were there, but first we had a spirited march on the a street outside the designated area for protesters. We felt that the "security" measures put in place by the MPD were dangerous for the protesters, and we took time to assess the situation before we entered the "protest pen."

Lorenzo Kom'boa wrote: "This Vice documentary was really biased and pro-Klan propaganda. There was no street gang contingent, that was bogus. The Vice crew gave way too much of a voice to the Klan and Klan front groups like the Sons of Confederate Veterans. They refused to talk to the anti-Klan organizers who brought out 1,500 people, the Ida B. Wells Coalition Against Racism and Police Brutality. Further, the city council collaborates with the Klan, even after the Klan demo in March, they turned around and in May 2013, they allowed the Klan and SOVN to hold a rally in the "Forrest Park", and 200 showed up. This whole thing is fraudulent."
