Congratulations, Latinos! Y'all Get Jobs!

I want to congratulate the "low-wage immigrant workers" in America. You are on the fast-track to citizenship and higher paying employment! Americans Rights at Work tweeted this:

Obama's Sec. of Labor nominee "sends a clear message that our nation is looking out for the most vulnerable workers"   http://www.jwj.org/statement-nomination-tom-perez-us-secretary-labor

The essence of the article is in this excerpt:

“We’re pleased that President Obama has nominated Tom Perez -- a strong advocate for working Americans, particularly low-wage, and immigrant workers -- to lead the Department of Labor. This choice sends a clear message that the administration is looking out for our nation's most vulnerable workers. Given Perez’s serious credentials, we urge Congress to pursue a swift confirmation process so the agency can move forward with its agenda and implement critical policies, including the proposed rule extending minimum wage, overtime and other FLSA rights to the 2.5 million caregivers working without labor protections in the United States."

@araw "Low wage immigrant workers" have reason to rejoice. Maybe blacks should learn an accent.

I am pleased for Latinos, who probably have as much "right" to be in America as Europeans, Africans, Asians, Middle-Easterners, and other non-Indigenous People. But sometimes it feels like Latinos and Blacks are being "lynched." Lynching does not pertain only to killing people. Willie Lynch was a slave master who was invited to America in the 1700s to teach slave owners the techniques of human ownership. He suggested that divisiveness among slaves is important, lest they combine their numbers and turn on the owners. Lynch deemed it necessary to give one group of slaves better jobs and living conditions than another group (usually determined by skin complexion) in order that they would not unite and overcome their owners. Just a thought.

Latinos in the USA held protests against injustice that emulate those staged by blacks during the civil rights era in order to ascertain better jobs and living conditions. Notice the bullhorn in the photograph above. As time goes on and more Latinos move into key government and corporate positions, I hope the Latino trendsetters will not sell-out the Latino families who yet struggle with oppression and poverty like many black "leaders" did. Although I have not read of blacks getting any credit for their support during the 2012 elections, more black voters supported the Democrats than Latino people. However, blacks made no demands for their support and seemingly receive no reward - not even a fare-thee-well. Our "leaders" now organize "silent marches" regarding apartheid in America these days, so as not to disturb the gods. No bullhorns.

I have heard it said many times that Latinos are the "fastest growing minority in the nation." Thanks to the United States Eugenics and Black Genocide Program (Google "Maafa21"), I can certainly understand if that is so. More than half the aborted babies would have been African Americans. Couple that with enforced sterilization that occurred from the 1930s to the 1970s and immigration laws that are really enforced on people coming from "black" countries like Haiti, and one can see how the population of Africans in America can easily be outdistanced by a people who are traditionally Catholics, who do not necessarily practice birth control and certainly not abortions.

Black Economic Gains Wiped Out in Downturn
African American Spike in unemployment: April [2010], black male unemployment hit the highest rate since the government began keeping track in 1972. Only 56.9 percent of black men over age 20 were working, compared with 68.1 percent of white men . . . Since the end of the recession [what end?], the overall unemployment rate has fallen from 9.4 to 9.1 percent, while the black unemployment rate has risen from 14.7 to 16.2 percent, according to the Department of Labor.

I rejoice with Mr. Tom Perez and undocumented workers, as the Bible instructs:

Rejoice with those who rejoice; mourn with those who mourn. ~Romans 12:15

Welcome, my brown friend!

  2. A tight job market is getting tighter. According to Forbes, the more businesses learn about Obamacare, the more reluctant they are to hire

  3. Wise Africans in America may be looking for another party soon. News reports say the RNC will spend $10 million reaching out to minorities. Of course, from the line-up below (with Hispanics listed first), it may be best to go Independent.

“It will include hundreds of people — paid — across the country, from coast-to-coast, in Hispanic, African American, Asian communities, talking about our party, talking about our brand, talking about what we believe in, going to community events, going to swearing-in ceremonies, being a part of the community on an ongoing basis, paid for by the Republican National Committee, to make the case for our party and our candidates,” Priebus said.

If I worked for the RNC, I'd instruct your writers to always list people or groups alphabetically or by population size, even if I had a personal preference for one person or group over the other.
