Congressman Hank Johnson, representative from my district, is voting against cuts in food stamps and school meals for struggling American families. How is your representative voting? Please call and find out. Below is an announcement a friend asked me to share with my readers, followed by more information, a graph, and with two links regarding "Food Not Bombs" and a 2012 NDAA budget video:
National Call-in Day: Call Congress Today to Protect Hungry Families from Cuts!
CALL 1-877-698-8228 with the message "No SNAP Cuts - Hunger Hurts"
TODAY: The House Agriculture Committee will mark up and vote on their version of the Farm Bill on Wednesday, July 11th. The bill currently cuts $16.1 billion from SNAP, which is three times the cut in the Senate version of the bill. These proposed cuts would cause:
• two to three million individuals to lose their food assistance entirely;
• 500,000 households to see their benefits cut by $90 per month; and
• nearly 300,000 children to lose free school meals.

WAR IS VERY EXPENSIVE. How much does one bomb cost? If you have a Facebook account, you may be interested in Keith McHenry's wall. He is active in "Food Not Bombs," organization. Members actually feed the hungry in addition to advocating for peace. Keith's link is http://www.facebook.com/keith.mchenry.fnb . The chart below depicts the growing list of food stamp participants since 2008. Some people believe it is important to prioritize food and jobs for Americans over wars that cost lives and trillions of dollars. The 2012 National Defense Authorization Act's budget Congress passed is $652.5 BILLION. The VIDEO at the next link regards the NDAA budget, which reportedly has funding for a war with Iran http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72gWT1fWLBI - This writer does not know what percentage of NDAA's budget is for concentration camps in America. Indefinite military detention without criminal charges or any trial is allowed under Section 1021 of NDAA. People who object to concentration camps in America should support H.R.3785, a bill introduced by Ron Paul in January 2012 to repeal Section 1021. Thanks for your interest in justice and compassion.

THE STALKERS REFUSE TO LET ME Google+ this article. I guess they object to my comparing the need for Americans to have jobs and food to officials' support for war. The 2012 NDAA budget is $642.5 BILLION, and it reportedly includes money for possible war with Iran (and/or perhaps Syria) and money for CONCENTRATION CAMPS IN AMERICA. Please call your support for food stamps for struggling families at least by noon on June 2011. All we need do after that is sit back and see what our reps think Americans deserve: food or concentration camps and war. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteParents are laid off, school lunches are low-calorie, and food stamps are to be reduced (or perhaps eliminated for people who resist the chip, eventually). But don't worry, children of God. The Word says in Psalm 91 (KJV):
ReplyDelete1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
4 He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.
5 Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;
6 Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.
7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee.
8 Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked.
9 Because thou hast made the Lord, which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation;
10 There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling.
11 For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways.
