Goodbye Aaron Swartz, Freedom Fighter

Aaron Swartz, dead at 26, an apparent suicide

(three links, two photos, references, and a repeat) Paragraph 1 of 5. CONDOLENCES ON THE DEATH OF AARON SWARTZ, an Internet freedom activist and extremely gifted pioneer - developer of RSS and co-founder of Reddit. Swartz was also founder of Demand Progress, which launched the campaign against the Internet censorship bills (SOPA/PIPA) and now has over a million members. At his time of death, Swartz was being zealously prosecuted for attempts to make thousands of scholarly articles public - works that were largely funded by public monies. Swartz's "suicide" is viewed by some with suspicion.

Paragraph 2 of 5. See "Aaron Swartz's Suspicious Death," by Stephen Lendman. Lendman states, "New York's medical examiner announced death by 'hang(ing) himself in his Brooklyn apartment.' Lingering suspicions remain. Why would someone with so much to give end it all this way? He was one of the Internet generation's best and brightest."

Paragraph 3 of 5. Elitists apparently don't want average people to have access to knowledge gained by scientists and scholars, even work that was funded by tax money. "They" want to return to a time when only the elite were well educated. Swartz was vigorously prosecuted for copying and planning to publicize thousands of scholarly works, believing knowledge belongs in the public domain. He died by HANGING a few weeks before his trial, facing 35 years incarceration and $1 million fine for planning to spread knowledge.

Paragraph 4 of 5. On the Press TV documentary, "Facade of the American Dream - Part 2," a minister tells how he smuggled literacy materials into a prison to teach inmates how to read. He had been denied by the warden the opportunity to teach reading, which is considered "dangerous." The documentary focuses on racism in the United States. However, Aaron Swartz's prosecution for attempting to share information widely and his quest to prevent Internet censorship show once again that we all fight the same battle against slavery, although some are in more immediate danger than others.

Paragraph 5 of 5. The idea of controlling people's communication to enslave them is not new. “Henry Berry, speaking in the Virginia House of Delegates in 1832, said, 'We have, as far as possible, closed every avenue by which light may enter their (the slaves) minds. If we could extinguish the capacity to see the light, our work would be complete; they would then be on a level with the beasts of the field and we should be safe.'” This is an excerpt from my article, LYNCHING AMERICA http://maryneal.hubpages.com/hub/Lynching-America . I also fight for net freedom for myself and others. Swartz's death was a great loss in the continuous struggle for freedom of press. Goodbye Aaron Swartz, freedom fighter.

The documentary depicts how the US removed Africans from their country of origin, worked them to death as slaves, and today in schools, is brainwashing them to make them believe they are inferior in many aspects.

REPEAT (because I am a CoIntelPro target):
