Bible Belt Resists Gay Marriages; Embraces DP

The U.S. Supreme Court legalized gay marriage in all 50 states on June 26, 2015, engendering outrage, particularly in the Bible Belt. The White House celebrated with a rainbow light display, but Mississippi threatens to end marriages altogether rather than to allow gay marriages in that state. Two archived radio shows by MaryLovesJustice expose the hypocrisy of so-called Christians who oppose gay marriages but not fornication, adultery, mass incarceration, lynchings, and executions. June 26 was already a historical day for Christians and human rights.
a)  June 26, 1870 ~ Christmas was declared a national holiday in the USA and is the most sacred holiday for Christians.
b)  June 26, 1945 - The Charter of the +United Nations was signed at the San Francisco War Memorial and Performing Arts Center by 50 original member countries. Poland, the other original member, which was not represented at the conference but signed it two months later.
c) June 26, 1967 - Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. went to Chicago, and only Friendship Baptist Church on Chicago's Westside allowed him to speak about civil rights. Rev Shelvin J. Hall showed no fear, but other churches called Dr. King "too radical." (This message was published by the Congressional Black Caucus as its "Today in Black History" post.)

Dr. King was assassinated within a year of his Chicago speech, presumably because he began to criticize the Vietnam War and demand economic justice for disenfranchised Americans. The United Nations, which was formed after the "War to End All Wars," has been unsuccessful in obtaining world peace; there are more wars and rumors of wars now than ever before and enough weaponry to destroy all life. The Christmas holiday, which was established to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ, has been commercialized, and the Bethlehem manger scene is now illegal on government property. One might say that the day chosen to make gay marriages legal in the United States is ultimately unlucky for religion and human rights.

Ironically, the states where gay marriages met the most zealous religious opposition are states where people are executed most often in violation of God's will as put forward in Psalm 102:19-20, Hebrews 13:3, and Matthew 25:31-46. Oklahoma is best known among anti-DP activists for its torturous execution on April 29, 2014 of Clayton Lockett, 38, who died a slow, horrible death after being injected with mystery drugs.

If only the #BibleBelt states were as adamant about obeying the commandment "Thou Shalt NOT Kill" as they are about resisting gay marriages, we could decrease military conflicts and end #executions and lynchings by police officers and others.

USDOJ Certifies AOT Programs for Mental Illness

Stalkers prevented me from placing my link at Twitter for good news I posted at ASSISTANCE TO THE INCARCERATED MENTALLY ILL today. My online advocacy group to decriminalize mental illness was taken over by stalkers years ago; however, as the elections draw closer, stalkers become more adamant that Mary Neal shall NOT exercise freedom of press RIGHTS. GOOD NEWS! The United States Department of Justice certified Assisted Outpatient Treatment (AOT) programs! The programs like Kendra's Law provide mandated treatment for acute mental patients as outpatients and provide subsistence assistance - basics like food and shelter. This is one of AIMI's main goals. AIMI's second goal is to increase hospital beds for mentally challenged people who experience crises and for those who need indefinite containment in a treatment environment because of crimes and/or an inability to survive outside a controlled environment. We are well on our way to step 1. We must advocate for AOT programs to be set up across the nation and for every acute mental patient exiting jails, prisons, and hospitals to be mandated into an AOT. Step 2 is to open more mental hospitals for inpatient care. Some states are already building new hospitals or refurbishing those they have. But, unfortunately, some states continue to reduce mental hospital beds. More advocacy is needed.

AIMI also advocates against capital punishment. THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT JUST ENDED THE DEATH PENALTY! WAY TO GO, CONNECTICUT!

APRIL 2012 UPDATE on Hank Skinner case: Hank Skinner won another stay of execution in November 2011, but the injustice system has not allowed him to take a DNA test to date.


NOVEMBER 2011 UPDATE on the Hank Skinner case: The U.S. Supreme Court gave Hank Skinner a last-minute stay of execution in March 2010. However, Texas continued to deny Skinner any opportunity to test his DNA against the evidence in the 20 months since the High Court spared his life. The 1% periodically kills potentially innocent people from the 99% like Troy Davis and Hank Skinner in order to keep the 99% feeling intimidated by their power. Guilt is not the issue; power is - the power to pull 99ers from America's slave pool and execute them. September 21 was Troy Davis' turn. Wednesday, November 9, 2011, is the day the elite will show their power over the 99% by killing Hank Skinner with his guilt unproved. This is what slave masters did in the 1700s to keep slaves subservient to their masters. Periodic executions of sick or potentially innocent Americans is a part of LYNCHING AMERICA. Willie Lynch, a successful slave owner from the West Indies, taught Virginia Colony plantation owners the art of slave mastery. This time, the order for the stay of execution should include a directive to TEST HANK SKINNER'S DNA. He says he is ready to lead the nation as president, but potentially innocent men are killed in Texas regularly.

DP - The Unholy Race

Entertainment through Capital Punishment

Scores quoted below for states in the DP race are from 2010. Some have made great strides since then.

1.     CAPITAL PUNISHMENT has long been a favorite sport. You may be surprised to know that Texas was not among the top five in the DP race until after 1976. States may get double points for executing innocents or mentally challenged people, but the scores I found give all executions equal weight. Virginia leads the nation with 1,386 executions.  Before 1976, Texas' score was just 755, but killing another 475 since then brought Texas to 1,230.  The Long Horn State can take the lead with another 50 or so people unless Virginia steps up her pace.  Below are scores by state between 1608 and 1976 (lynchings are not included) for the top five states.
Virginia - 1277
New York - 1,130
Pennsylvania - 1040
Georgia - 950
North Carolina - 784

2.     South Carolina was not in the top five, but no one can doubt its commitment to execution. That state holds the record for executing the youngest person, 14-year-old George Stinney.  Of course, George was black.  He was only 5'1" tall and weighed just 95 pounds. A 12-year-old Florida boy, Christian Fernandez, is charged with first degree murder. I wrote about him in "Human Trafficking by Government - Kids4Cash" at this link:  http://marylovesjustice.blogspot.com/2011/10/human-trafficking-by-government.html  - I don't think the D.A. can ask for the death penalty in his case since juvenile executions were outlawed, thankfully!

3.     Execution (especially of potentially innocent people, the mentally challenged, and minors) is not something they want us discussing online, although it happens. Capital punishment is like a burp, which polite people ignore. Hackers are paid to destroy my computers to prevent my advocacy against criminalizing mental illness and capital punishment. Online activism for human rights may be seriously curtailed if/when one of the Internet censorship bills that are continually introduced finally passes. H.R.3261 and S.968 were defeated in January 2012, but Sen. McCain already introduced another bill that civil rights advocates and organizations believe will endanger net freedom. SOPA and PIPA proposed putting the Internet under the U.S. Attorney's Office. Can you imagine? Like China! Another concern, ACTA, is a treaty that was signed in November 2011 to give other countries, including China, a measure of control over what can go online or remain there. Google "EFF ACTA" for more information about the international intellectual property protection treaty.

4.     Handicapped and potentially innocent people may be worth double points in the DP race. 
Troy Davis was executed on September 21, 2011, and serious doubt remains about his guilt. He declared his innocence in his last moments and asked people who care about justice to "continue fighting this fight" to clear his name. Of course, efforts to clear Troy Davis postpartum and also end DP would spoil the game and reduce prison profits. Prisons are paid significantly more for warehousing a condemned inmate than they get for inmates in maximum security prisons or those in the general prison population. Therefore, censorship was used against my Change.org petition to the U.S. Justice Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation for a new investigation of deceased Officer MacPhail's murder. http://freespeakblog.blogspot.com/2011/11/petition-by-davismacphail-truth.html Petition by Davis/MacPhail Truth Committee. The article has voice recordings of Davis' last request and more information. One day soon, we will relaunch the petition at another site.

5. Please pray for Thomas Arthur, an Alabama condemned man. His 2009 DNA test eliminated him for all items tested. More items could be tested at his attorneys' expense, but Alabama refuses. Google "Mary Neal Thomas Arthur" for my articles about him. I have followed his case for years despite much cyberstalking to prevent my reports.

6.     Pray for Hank Skinner. He was scheduled for execution AGAIN on November 9, 2011, but he was granted a stay of execution. Texas still has not let him test his DNA against the evidence, as far as I know. If Hank is killed without irrefutable proof of his guilt, he would be worth double points, too. 7. Mentally Ill inmates may be worth double points in the DP race. Please pray for Jeff Wood. Jeff Wood is a mentally challenged young man on Texas death row under the law of parties. That means the State knows Wood never killed anyone, but he was induced to go to the store one day with a man who murdered the store manager while Wood obediently sat inside a truck like the retarded youth had been instructed to do by his devious friend. Wood reportedly did not even know that a robbery/murder was happening. Excerpt from my article about Wood at NowPublic.com states, "The actual shooter in this case, Daniel Reneau, has already been executed by the State of Texas." Renault's brother commented at the article, saying that his brother should have spoken up and cleared Wood before his own execution. Wood's family commented also. I'm so cyberstalked for being an effective abolitionist now that I think cyberstalkers make it difficult for people to comment at my articles any longer. 8. Please pray for Andre Thomas. No sane person would eat his eyes. But an insane man did. Andre Thomas ate one eye while awaiting trial for killing his estranged wife and children. He cut their hearts out and took the hearts home in his pocket to keep them close to him (his words). Andre ate his second eye in 2009. Should acute mental patients be executed for their crimes? Members of Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill (AIMI) do not think so, and neither does the Supreme Court. But Texas, where Andre awaits the death needle, disagrees. 10.     In a world with seven billion people, some decision makers think life is cheap. Ignoring potential innocence and mental illness of condemned persons is indicative of that problem. This is especially true in Bible Belt states, where lynching was a favorite sport in the 1930s and 40s. In the 21st century, human and civil rights are regularly being challenged at state and federal levels. For example, concentration camps are to be erected under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), which was enacted in December 2011. NDAA allows indefinite military detention without naming a crime and without any trial.

11.  Cyberstalkers attacked my efforts to notify our readers about H.R.3785, a congressional bill to repeal NDAA's concentration camp provision and eliminate that nasty threat. Obviously, the same people who pay my cyberstalkers to prevent advocacy to decriminalize mental illness and end capital punishment are also interested in having concentration camps. Dear Mary

This year's World Day Against the Death Penalty focuses on the inhumanity of the death penalty as a cruel, inhuman and degrading punishment.

 

Lethal injections are experimental and frequently botched – leading to an agonisingly painful death.

The first in the 'three-drug cocktail' is an anesthetic to put the prisoner to sleep; the second is a paralyzing agent to immobilize them; the third is a massive overdose of potassium chloride to stop their heart. If the first drug fails - often the dose is too low or the IV is not inserted properly - the prisoner remains awake, able to feel appalling pain but frozen in silence, paralyzed by the pancuronium. This is a botched lethal injection. The prisoner suffocates slowly until the potassium chloride shocks the heart so severely it stops beating. If the prisoner remains conscious at this point the pain is excruciating.

This is cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment. Reprieve's Stop Lethal Injection Project has been fighting to end the trade in drugs used for executions and so far has been successful in preventing supplies from Austria, Denmark, India, Italy, Germany and the UK from reaching US death rows. Today we have called on healthcare professionals to help us debunk the myth that lethal injection is 'humane'.
