You've Got to Be Taught

YOU'VE GOT TO BE TAUGHT
To hate and fear,
You've got to be taught
From year to year,
It's got to be drummed
In your dear little ear
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught to be afraid
Of people whose eyes are oddly made,
And people whose skin is a diff'rent shade,
You've got to be carefully taught.

You've got to be taught before it's too late,
Before you are six or seven or eight,
To hate all the people your relatives hate,
You've got to be carefully taught!

Rodgers and Hammerstein's "You've Got To Be Carefully Taught",
from the musical "South Pacific"

The t-shirt says, "It's not a black or white thing; it's a wrong thing." Let us not deny that racism exists. There are two empty graves: Jesus Christ's and Jim Crow's. However, We the People should be too busy uniting for social and economic justice to hate. Racial prejudice is an unnatural emotion that is learned. It benefits the oppressors, not the People. Reject it. UNITY is strength for the 99%. People who are united in purpose and speak the same language like computers make possible can have whatever they work toward, even real democracy (Gen. 11:6).

He stooped down, and wrote on the ground.

Rodney King: My Write-In Candidate

Rodney King's speech so impresses me that I decided to make him my write-in candidate. Rodney King delivers his excellent message in the first of two embedded videos below (six(6) numbered paragraphs, four(4) links in this article). King's aversion for violence may make him an excellent representative in some capacity. Before you disagree with me hastily, consider the headline news for December 6, 2011: THE TOTAL COLLAPSE - "Chinese President Hu Jintao Tuesday urged the navy to prepare for military combat amid growing regional tensions over maritime disputes and a US campaign to assert itself as a Pacific power."

2. Rodney King Speaks Words of Wisdom

3. It is particularly disturbing to receive news of a possible WWIII just days after the Bill of Rights was virtually eliminated by the U.S. Senate when representatives (of somebody) passed S.1867 to allow indefinite military detention of Americans without criminal charges and trial (within or outside the USA).

4. Peace advocacy by Mary Neal, director of Assistance to the Incarcerated Mentally Ill, Chairperson of the Davis/MacPhail Truth Committee, prisoner rights advocate, anti-DP activist, America's most censored, @koffietime on Twitter, MaryLovesJustice Neal at Google+, a proud 99er, commissioned by God the Father to advise the lowly and the powerful to treat others as you wish to be treated. That is a highly censored and dangerous concept to advocate, as Jesus Christ and I have found. Before continuing to paragraph six(6), please enjoy the video embedded below by the YoungBloods, who are as wise as Rodney King. They sang:

5. "COME ON PEOPLE NOW, SMILE ON YOUR BROTHER, EVERYBODY GET TOGETHER, TRY TO LOVE ONE ANOTHER RIGHT NOW!"

6. The Youngblood's video is at this link:  http://goo.gl/g1mHc . The long version of Rodney King's speech also contains news surrounding King's victimization by California police officers and the violence that erupted, costing many lives and substantial property damage. Pain and destruction could have been avoided by following the YoungBloods' advice. GROUP HUG! Rodney King's long version - http://youtu.be/tgiR04ey7-M  - Barney got it right: "I love you, you love me . . . " "The Total Collapse" article is at this link: http://goo.gl/zCHS4  - Join Rodney King, the Youngbloods, and Mary Neal in this plea to decision makers, "Can't we all just get along?"  Let's give peace a fighting chance. Please. In case Christmas does not come, I wish you now PEACE ON EARTH, GOOD WILL TOWARD ALL MEN. As Tiny Tim said, "God bless us every one!" Excuse me - some of us are trying to live and let live around here. Try it. You might like it.

POST NOTE: Rodney King died June 17, 2012  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_King  Our condolences to his family, friends and fans.
