"Judging Me," by Mary Elizabeth Bullock

I hope my online friends are enjoying a slower pace after Christmas, and many might have a vacation week. This is an excellent time to read. Here is an inspiring book: "Judging Me," by Mary Elizabeth Bullock.

This inspiring memoir describes a hard-won life of achievement. In the face of overwhelming adversity, Mary Elizabeth Bullock makes her name as an experienced trial litigator, a respected business law professor, and a federal civil rights judge. She finds brilliant success in spite of being blind, and being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and systemic lupus, and despite having enduring a childhood poisoned by unspeakable abuse. Her book offers hope and motivation to others who have been cruelly betrayed by those who should have been their protectors. It holds knowledge that can help heal adults damaged by sexually abusive childhoods, and it offers understanding and support to those who love them.

When she was a helpless child, Bullock's father sexually abused her for ten plus years,, She was beaten, tortured, sold into sex slavery and molested in physically and psychologically unbearable ways. Perhaps worst of all, he taught her to believe that the evil he did to her was her own fault. Bullock chose to finally tell her story in the hope that others might see that they are not alone, that their stories of abuse do not have the last word. Child sexual abuse is frighteningly common. Nevertheless, the realities of child abuse are often denied by people who cannot bear to believe that it exists.

Some of those abused as children grow up to disbelieve their own stories, or to minimize the damage their brutal past has done them. As a child, Bullock suffered horrific abuse, alone and without support. As a young woman, she was drive to succeed, in spite of what was done to her. She invented a different public personality for herself, once she was able to escape. Outwardly, she donned the armor of achievement and success by garnering high academic honors and rising to a position of power and influence.

Taking full advantage of the scholarships she won, in spite of her chaotic home life, Bullock earned the necessary education to advance her out of the degrading life she grew up in. As an adult, she began a legal career that allowed her to help the disenfranchised, disillusioned and dispossessed. But even after achieving a life that would make anyone proud, under her polished and professional exterior, Bullock was always uncertain, and aware of the past that relentlessly pursued her. Time after time she found herself in negative relationships, never understanding why she was continuously drawn to shattered men, childishly selfish men, and men who hated women as they tried to love them. Through years of seeking, she gained understanding of herself and of others like her.

At last, finding her own peace, Bullock made truce with her unforgotten past and gained the necessary self-esteem needed to build genuine relationships. Mary Elizabeth Bullock thanks God for saving her from a life of despair. She hopes, with this heartfelt memoir, to share her experience and hard-won knowledge that healing is possible, and that a life worth living is attainable. In this memoir, she proves that the human spirit can triumph over the longest odds.

Please congratulate Judge Bullock after reading her book:

Sex Abuse and Death in Juvenile Correctional Facility?

(one link, two photo) Excerpt from "Neglected Prisoners' Gov Health Care Plan" in my FreeSpeakBlog.

Kathia Casseus, 16, of Kansas, took her mother's car for a joyride and had an accident. For this adolescent act, she was sentenced to an 8-month rehabilitation program in the Jackson County Family Court System. Three months later, for reasons still unknown to her mother, Kathia was sent to Children's Mercy Hospital, where Defendants Children's Mercy Hospital, Delozier, and [defendant Dr. Stephen J.] Schuman prescribed and placed on her body the Ortho Evra birth control patch. Kathia's mother claims the birth control "was not indicated or necessary for Kathia." Information and history of injury and death from this most dangerous form of birth control is well published, according to the complaint.

"In February this year, three months after being put on birth control, Kathia began complaining of heart pain and shortness of breath," her mom says.

One day after complaining to her jailers about chest pains and her inability to breathe three times, Kathina was carried into an isolation cell where she screamed about not being able to breathe. They ignored her, then she died.

"Kathia was born without a thyroid and had a functional IQ of about 68," her mother says in the complaint.

Who in that facility was raping this retarded child and had her put on birth control patches? Was Kathia murdered to prevent her from answering that question, or did she die of medical neglect from the side-effects from her Ortho Evra birth control patches? See more information in FreeSpeakBlog at http://freespeakblog.blogspot.com/2012/07/neglected-prisoners-gov-health-care.html "NEGLECTED PRISONERS' GOV HEALTH CARE PLAN."

I am experiencing heavy cybercensorship publishing this news. Perhaps Kathia was murdered to prevent her from telling who was raping her in the juvenile correctional facility. If she was killed, authorities would likely cover up her murder like they did when my brother was secretly arrested for 18 days and murdered in Memphis Shelby County Jail while the facility was already under overview by the U.S. Department of Justice in 2003. See WRONGFUL DEATH OF LARRY NEAL.com.

Investigation is warranted to discover how many other young girls in that facility were put on birth control patches. Who is sexually abusing the children? (One link, two photos. Cell phone users, select "go to page 1" to see a photo of Kathia. She was a lovely teen.)

Save California Kids from Solitary Confinement

Soaring No More

Please support SB 1363, a bill that would limit the harmful practice of solitary confinement, which is being used against kids in California’s juvenile facilities. Currently, kids are locked up in isolation, denied education and basic programming. The international community has condemned the use of solitary confinement against youth. Research has shown the traumatic toll and mental health breakdown caused by isolation in healthy adults. Children who are still in their development stages are at an even greater risk of permanent damage. It is unacceptable that our state allows this to happen. Sign the petition at this link, please!  Urge the Senate Public Safety Committee to end the solitary confinement of kids.

WHERE DOES THE CRUELTY END?
Please sign the petition to SAVE THE CHILDREN http://goo.gl/P2l9W

Open thy mouth for the voiceless in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction [capital punishment].  Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy [victims of racism, poverty, unjust prosecution, excessive sentencing, three-strikes laws, imprisonment for offenses caused by mental illness, and all unrighteousness] ~Proverbs31:8-9. GET UP, STAND UP FOR LOVE. See an excerpt from the petition below:

Solitary confinement is torture. Yet, this harmful practice runs rampant in California’s state and local facilities.
.
Research has shown the traumatic toll and mental health impacts of isolation in healthy adults. Children who are still in their development stages are at an even greater risk of permanent damage. When the state takes custody of our children, parents expect them to get the education and programming they need to lead healthy lives. Instead, their children are isolated and damaged.

Is this what we want for our children? If your child attempted suicide, would you lock her up alone in a cell to “fix” the problem? Our children deserve better. The state has a duty to protect our children in its custody from harmful practices that endanger their lives. SB 1363 (Yee) will limit the use of solitary confinement in juvenile facilities and provide protective guidelines on how and when it is used. Stand with us and urge the Senate Public Safety Committee members to vote “YES” on SB 1363.

IT IS OFFICIALLY ON THE MARKET!!!

The H.U.Y.O.E. Non-Violence Guide for Today's Youth is now available for purchase.  We are excited about our efforts to try to help reduce youth violence in today's society.

The challenges that children face today are not new, but, when left unaddressed, can leave emotional scars that hinder a young person’s true potential. Some of these include peer assault, cyber-bullying, thoughts of suicide, harassment, lack of self-esteem, rejection, anger, rage, fear, failure, gangs, and many other potentially life-changing challenges. The H.U.Y.O.E. Non-Violence Guide for Today’s Youth addresses these challenges that are faced by most—if not all—youth to some degree in school, at home, and in the community.

The H.U.Y.O.E. Non-Violence Guide for Today’s Youth will be life-changing for today’s youth because it does not focus upon violence, but rather on the victory over any act of destruction committed upon self or upon others, whether it be physical or emotional. The H.U.Y.O.E. Non-Violence Guide for Today’s Youth is uniquely designed to reach and teach the whole child by addressing violence of the body, soul, and spirit through stories and activities that encourage the development of self, rather than through a series of lectures. It will be an invaluable experience for your children, grandchildren, friends, siblings, and relatives.
